In the fall of 2006, Dewey Homes began a project to begin to learn how to be more active in the Green Building space. I was designated the internal project manager for this project and have worked with our whole team (inside and outside) to start a new program that will help define and set the tone for the company going forward.
We started to build four specific R&D homes during the summer of 2008 that would each have a different level of certification and green technology in them. Our goal was to learn about green building techniques and how to incorporate them into production home building.
